Based in the Southern UK city of Bristol and barely half a year old, Pente are singled out by their pursuit of clean and contemporary styles. We spoke to their founder, David, to find out a bit more about his inspiration behind the brand, and what makes him tick.
It’s obvious from their signature 433 Jersey, that Pente are cycling purists. Their range celebrates those two holy bastions of the world on two wheels, quality and style. You can imagine their jerseys turning heads on the pave of the Patterberg, or the corniche coastal roads of the Northern Mediterranean. And the simple, stylish themes are at the very heart of the brand. David explains “Pente was founded through an appreciation for great cycling style, and a wish to create my own take on it. I wanted to create simple and contemporary styles that I would wear myself, with no detriment to performance.”

Pente are also proud to do things a little differently from the mainstream, one of the reason’s they’re such a good fit for Spin Shed. Indeed, collaboration is key, and they have already worked with various local artists, photographers and videographers on their products. As a brand, this gives them great credentials, backed up by an authenticity that all riders will admire.
David says that his proudest moment, in the so-far short history of the business is “selling to customers from all over the world”. As the kit gives a nod to some of the great stylish jerseys of years gone by, we can see why that would be a point of pride.

What unites us all is a love for the freedom that being on a bike offers, and David is no different. Riding from a young age, a hobby slowly developed into a passion, and he’ll most likely be found “riding the hills between Monmouth and Newport in Wales, and the Mendips in Somerset.” With scenery like that to inspire him, you can be sure to expect some more great styles from the Pente range in the coming months and years.
